Cubers are called for!
To celebrate the 40th birthday of the Rubik's Cube, the world's most popular puzzle, Puzzling World are very excited to announce the launch of The Cube ‘n Cuppa Club.
The Cube 'n Cuppa Club is a club dedicated to the local Rubik's Cubes fans and offers an after school hang out for young Rubik's Cube users, or 'Cubers'. The Cube 'n Cuppa Club creates a space to “share your love of cubing and create an environment for hints & tips with like-minded people.
With an official speed timer on hand, a leader’s board, official medals and a large range of new-release Rubik’s items available to test, the Puzzle Centre at Puzzling World will be ‘ground zero’ for all things dedicated to this iconic puzzle.
The Cube 'n Cuppa Club will be held every Monday for an hour from 3.30pm and has been active since July 27th . Membership includes a hot chocolate and cookie on arrival each week.
It's easy to join! Membership is $5 each week during Term 3 with end-of-term award ceremony (21st September) and cake to be enjoyed on the final week.
“One of the silver linings of having zero international visitors is that we then have more time and space available to host local initiatives such as this” says marketing manager, Duncan Spear.
While the Cube ‘n Cuppa Club is aimed more at the school-aged customer, Puzzling World are also happy to welcome adult members, with the caveat for all members that, “Puzzling World staff don’t “cube” themselves so we’ll be learning off the kids!”
