This past summer, one of Wanaka’s most enduring tourism businesses marked their 50th anniversary with a full day of celebrations and revealed several new projects that will ensure its ongoing success.
Dec 17th saw the front lawn of Puzzling World hosting a collection of food trucks, lawn games, musicians, and face painting as a thank-you to the community who has supported it since its inception in 1973. Making great use of the new front courtyard and tables overlooking the 20m long mural just completed was a great lead into the evening’s events, where over 150 V.I.P’s dined, danced, and yarned the night away.
The visitors were also the first to visit two new illusion rooms designed in collaboration with Wellington-based digital artist and designer, Tim Christie.
Offering a fully immersive experience with striking geometrical designs and optical trickery these ‘glow rooms’ present in a whole new form of illuminated, awe-inspiring illusions for Puzzling World’s customers into its sixth decade and beyond.
